Two men arrested after gun pulled during road rage incident
Two men are facing a number of charges after a road rage incident took a dangerous turn on Oshawa streets.
On Oct. 8, at approximately 11:30 p.m., members of Central East Division were dispatched to an incident on Park Road North and King Street West in Oshawa.
A 23-year-old female victim was driving when she was confronted by the pair of suspects driving a silver Honda Accord, who pointed a gun at her.
Police searched the area and spotted the suspect vehicle nearby, but when officers attempted to stop the vehicle the suspects sped off. The vehicle crashed into a light standard at Simcoe Street and Rossland Road.
Further investigation recovered a 9 mm Luger Norinco handgun, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
A 25-year-old male of Oshawa has been charged with: possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking (marijuana); dangerous operation of a motor vehicle; flight from police and 12 firearm related offences.
Also, a 23-year-old male of Toronto has been charged with: possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking (marijuana); dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and 14 firearm related offences.
They were both held for a bail hearing.
