Tired of the dog and pony show
Dear Editor,
I don’t know about you, but I am getting pretty irritated with this long winded, expensive federal election that is taking place right now, and the personal attacks we see every day.
I really cannot get excited about the party leaders who are trying to buy our votes with election promises that are broken as soon as the election is over. Promises that they cannot keep as the economy seems to stumble into a recession or whatever excuse they come up with later.
I am not standing up for Harper, but I am annoyed with the dog and pony show we have to endure every day on the Duffygate court trial, which is costing us millions of dollars that have been flushed down the rabbit hole for a $90,000 personal cheque. How many more millions will be wasted until this silly saga is over? All parties have had their issues dealt with under the laws of the land when they were caught cheating. It happens all the time, especially now with the electronic age upon us.
Significant issues to me are when I see the poor migrants trying to flee across borders and the environment, and I am sure you can add to those issues which are important to you.
Do we really have to be so taken up with this stupid and expensive long-winded court case?
So we not have more personal issues affecting our lives? I am sure we do.
