The province needs to do more

Dear editor,

2020 has been a year of an exasperating lack of common sense so far. As nonsensical as the new plastic, night-time invisible “Place to Grow” Ford Government (white on double blue) license plates are we also continue with unmitigated and ludicrous methods in dealing with the containment of COVID-19.

Flights from Iran and China seems to continue to come and go, and will solve nothing and continue the spread of the virus. It is so simple that flights back and forth from countries like those mentioned need to stop now.

I thought that was already protocol. Apparently airlines business is more important than the dangerous spread of a pandemic-type virus that has claimed 3,000-plus deaths worldwide in a month-and-a-half.

Continued commerce and common-sense only have “co” letters in common. So why is it so damn difficult to take top shelf measures at containment (starts with “co” as well). What a sad, catastrophic joke that’s being played out by the ignorant powers-that-be in this world. God help us all.
