Teen charged with impaired driving

A Scugog teen is facing several charges after a car rolled over in a single-vehicle accident in Oshawa.

Just after midnight on Wednesday, March 16, a vehicle speeding east on Coates Road, east of Wilson Road, lost control and rolled on to its roof. According to police, the driver and an occupant in the back seat were trapped as a result.

Police and EMS were called in to remove the two trapped occupants. Two of the other people in the car were able to get out. All four were taken to hospital as a precaution.

An 18-year-old female of Scugog has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, novice driver with a blood alcohol content above zero and driving a motor vehicle with liquor readily available.
