Teen charged with break and enter
An Oshawa teen is facing multiple charges after someone attempted to break into downtown businesses over the weekend.
Shortly before 8:45 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, Durham police received a call about a male suspect breaking into a business in the area of Celina Street and King Street, and had been seen with a handgun.
Officers arrived on scene and found a suspect attempting to get into a business on Bond Street. He was arrested without incident.
A 14-year-old Oshawa male has been charged with two counts of break and enter and one count each of breaching a peace bond, possession of break and enter tools, possession of a dangerous weapon, using an imitation firearm and possession of a controlled substance.
