The Eastern Ontario Baseball Association (EOBA) bantam championship swung into Oshawa last weekend and saw teams from Oshawa, Peterborough, Kingston, Whitby, and Kawartha battle it out for the league title.

In the championship game on Aug. 23, the Kawartha Cubs defeated the Peterborough Tigers 11-7 at Oshawa’s Kinsmen Stadium.

For more baseball action be sure to head down to Kinsmen Stadium on Aug. 28 for the EOBA bantam All-Star game.

Teams from the East and West divisions have selected their best players from the Oshawa Legionnaires marking the cut for the EOBA West.

Look for Oshawa’s Zachery McQuaid, Jordy Harris, Matthew Robinson, Braden Babcock and Aaron Muravski when they hit the field this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
