EOBA Bantam All-Stars

Oshawa’s Zachery McQuaid winds up for a pitch during the EOBA bantam All-Star game on Aug. 28. McQuaid and the rest of the West all stars lost the game 11-8 in extra innings.

The top bantam-aged players in the Eastern Ontario Baseball Association (EOBA) put on a show on Aug. 28 at the 2015 EOBA Bantam All-Star Game held at Kinsmen Stadium and hosted by Baseball Oshawa.

The game would need extra innings to decide it, tied 8-8 after nine innings, but in the end the East took the victory with a score of 11-8 over the West.

East game MVP Nolan Abrams from the Quinte Royals had a pair of big hits to right field – a double and triple that scored three runs and pitched out of a bases loaded, one out jam with the West threatening in the bottom of the ninth with the score tied. Abrams struck out both batters to send it to extra innings, then mowed down the West in the 10th as well for the win.

West Game MVP was Aaron Muravksi of the Oshawa Legionnaires who had two big hits and a pair of RBIs and a highlight reel diving catch at second base.
