Stabbing incident in Oshawa
Durham police have issued a warrant for a suspect after a stabbing incident recently in Oshawa.
On Tuesday, April 28, at approximately 9:05 a.m., Durham police responded to the area of Simcoe and John streets in Oshawa for a stabbing. Police found the victim with a minor stab wound to his arm. The victim and the suspect were involved in a verbal dispute prior to the male victim being stabbed.
The suspect fled on foot. Police searched the area with negative results.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect and victim are known to each other. Police have issued a warrant for an 18-year-old, of no fixed address, for aggravated assault, possession of dangerous weapons, assault with a weapon and three counts of failing to comply.
