Shots fired in Oshawa

Durham police are investigating after shots were fired at a residence.

On Monday, Oct. 5, at approximately 5:45 a.m., officers were called to the area of Vancouver Street for reports of shots fired. Responding officers were able to confirm that shots were fired after finding shell casings nearby. One of the homes in the area had damage from a stray bullet.

There have been no reported injuries as a result of the incident. Police searched the area with negative results.

There is no suspect or vehicle descriptors at this time and investigators are looking for the public’s help with any information regarding this shooting.
