Shotgun, drugs seized in Oshawa investigation
A street-level drug investigation in Oshawa resulted in the seizure of drugs and a shotgun hidden under a mattress.
On July 30, 2020, Durham police concluded the investigation and arrested a suspect in Oshawa and a search warrant was executed at his residence on Cardigan Court.
Police located more than $5,000 in drugs (meth, cocaine and Fentanyl), digital weight scales and drug packaging. They also located a shotgun under his mattress along with ammunition.
The 35-year-old has been charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, careless storage of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm knowing it’s unauthorized. He was held for a bail hearing.
