Shooting leaves one man dead

Three people are in custody after a 20-year-old man was found dead after a shooting incident in Oshawa Monday night.

This is Durham Region’s seventh homicide of the year.

On Oct. 5, at approximately 10:15 p.m., officers responded to a residential apartment on King Street near Farewell Street for a shooting. Police arrived to find a 20-year-old man deceased.

The shooting took place in a parking lot of the building complex.

Three people from the building have been taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation. A firearm was also recovered at the scene.

Police say this is an ongoing investigation and no charges have been laid at this time. Investigators are looking for witnesses to come forward.
