Serious injuries after attack downtown
An Oshawa man is recovering in hospital after being attacked on Simcoe Street South.
At approximately 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3, police received a call about a man lying on Simcoe Street South. When officers arrived on scene, they saw the man, 41, staggering around Simcoe and Elm Street. While he was initially uncooperative, he was eventually taken to hospital where it was found that he suffered a serious head injury.
At first, the male did not remember what happened, but later recalled that an unknown person hit him on the head with a pipe.
