Search is on for community legends

Do you know any community legends? The city would like to hear from you.

The City of Oshawa is seeking nominations for its annual Community Legends Awards, which celebrates people and organizations that make a positive impact on the city.

“If you know a person or group who works hard to make Oshawa a great place to live, work and play then please nominate them as a community legend,” states Councillor Bob Chapman, the chair of the community services committee, in a news release. “Nominating someone for this recognition is an excellent way to thank them for their contribution to our community.”

The deadline to submit nominations is Dec. 31.
