Scaly situation solved
A four-foot boa constrictor has been recovered from police after she was stolen from an Oshawa couple.
A male suspect went to an Oshawa home on Sunday, Sept. 11 in response to an online ad for a female boa constrictor. According to police, the snake’s owner helped load the tank and boa into the back of the male’s truck. When the owner went to the driver’s seat in order to get his money, the suspect drove off.
Using his online screen name, police were able to identify the suspect. The snake is now slithering smoothly with her rightful owner.
A 22-year-old male of Grenoble Boulevard in Pickering has been charged with theft under $5,000 and possession stolen property under $5,000 in connection with this incident.
