Robbery suspect quickly apprehended
It didn’t take long for police to arrest a man accused of robbing an Oshawa store.
On Friday, July 13, at approximately 10:50 p.m., a male entered Tom’s Food Sore on Nonquon Road in Oshawa. He attempted to steal items from the store but was stopped by an employee. The male pushed the employee against the wall then fled on foot. The employee was not physically injured during the incident.
Responding officers began to investigate and, less than two hours later, they arrested the male suspect.
The accused, a 25-year-old of no fixed address, is charged with robbery and failing to comply with a probation order. He was held for a bail hearing.
