RMG hosting digital art symposium
Leaders in the art gallery sector will be in Oshawa this weekend to discuss the impact of digital technologies on the industry.
The Robert McLaughlin Gallery and Ontario Association of Art Galleries are hosting a “first-of-its-kind forum on how to successfully guide the art gallery sector into the future of digital and media arts” on Oct. 12 and 13.
Over the course of the symposium 19 experts from Berlin, England and all across Canada will come together to discuss the opportunities and challenges of exhibiting, curating, collecting, and archiving digital media. These curators, artists, and digital specialists will share their first-hand experiences of the new digital ecosystem in six detailed sessions.
Members of the community are invited to join the discussion “where all attendees can equip themselves with practical tools and confidence to integrate digital media.”
Guests can register for one or both of the days and students can register for half-off the regular price of attendance. For more information about the symposium schedule, the presenters and registration visit www.ideasdigitalforum.com.
