Police release sketch of sex assault suspect
Durham police are turning to the public to help them identify a suspect in a December sexual assault.
In December 2015, two teen females were shopping at a grocery store in the area of Wentworth Street West and Cedar Street when a male approached them and touched one of them inappropriately.
Police say the male continued to follow the two girls around, offering them gifts while showing a handful of cash.
The incident was not reported until early January.
The suspect has been described as a black male with a light complexion, between 35 and 40 years old and approximately five feet and seven inches tall with a heavy, muscular build. He was last seen wearing black jogging pants, a black shirt, a black leather coat and a black baseball cap. He provided the name Rico to the females.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Det. Const. Sabo at 1-888-579-1520, ext. 5248.
