By Joel Wittnebel/The Oshawa Express

Investigators are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in September shooting in Oshawa.

In recently released video footage, a suspect is seen leaving his vehicle, a black Nissan Sentra, before walking away from the camera. At the top of the frame, the male confronts a pair of pedestrians one of whom is on a bike. An altercation breaks out and the male is seen running to his car and speeding off while the victim attempts to remove himself from the road, appearing to have an injured leg.

According to police, the suspect approached the victim and made a demand for his jewellery. When the victim refused to give over his personal property, the suspect shot the victim and fled.

The male suffered serious injuries and was originally taken to local hospital before being transferred to a Toronto trauma center.

Police are hoping that someone will be able to identify the suspect and the involved vehicle in this shooting.
