Police on the hunt for gas station robbery suspect

The Durham Regional Police are looking to identify a suspect after a gas station was robbed in Oshawa.

On Oct. 8, at approximately 8:20 a.m., the suspect entered the Petro Canada on Simcoe Street North and demanded cash. The lone employee handed over the money before the suspect fled on foot. The victim didn’t suffer any physical injuries.

The suspect is described as male, white, early 20s, wearing a black hoodie, dark jeans, blue/black running shoes, and a black/white bandana concealing his face.

Any member of the public who may have witnessed this incident or who may have information pertaining to this robbery is asked to contact the Major Crime Robbery Unit at 905-579-1520 ext. 5360. Anonymous information can be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.
