Pharmacy truck robbed of drugs
Two Oshawa residents are facing multiple charges after several bags of prescription drugs were stolen from the back of a pharmacy delivery truck.
According to police, the truck’s driver noticed he was several bags short while on his route in Oshawa on Thursday, Feb. 11. It was later determined that a male suspect had entered the rear of the truck while the driver was dropping off an order at King Street Pharmacy.
Following an investigation by police, a Wilson Road South residence in Oshawa was searched, with two people being arrested after a large quantity of drugs, including oxycodone, percocet and hydromorphine were found. Police also seized a stolen wheelchair from Lakeridge Health.
A 28-year-old male of Wilson Road South has been charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime and one count each of theft over $5,000, unlawful possession of a Schedule 1 substance and failure to comply with an undertaking.
A 23-year-old female of Wilson Road South has been charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000 and possession of a controlled substance.
