Peewee Legionaires off to New York

The Oshawa Minor Peewee Legionaires, coached by Aaron Marshall, are heading to the Cooperstown All-Star Village in Cooperstown NY July 9-15 to participate in a once in a lifetime week-long baseball tournament experience.

Marking the third Oshawa Legionaires team to make this special trip, players took part in the opening ceremony with all teams, marching in, a parent cheer contest and official skills competition.

Games were underway on Sunday, July 10, with Oshawa playing their first game against the Stratford Bulldogs from New Jersey.

Through three days of competition, the Legionaries currently sit at 2-2.

There are 48 teams taking part in the week- long tournament at the birthplace of baseball,  including teams from Michigan, New York, Illinois, Texas, California, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Colorado and Canada.
