Oshawa teen arrested after robbery, assaults in Bowmanville
A young Oshawa male is among those arrested following a street-level robbery with a replica handgun over the weekend.
At approximately 12:40 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27, Durham police responded to the area of Simpson Avenue and Jane Street in Bowmanville after two males were robbed by masked suspects. The victims said five suspects assaulted them with a baton and a replica handgun, with one being robbed of some of his personal property.
Police say the two victims suffered minor injuries.
Five suspects were located nearby and were arrested and charged.
Five males, including a 16-year-old male from Oshawa, are facing robbery and assault related charges in connection with these events.
