Oshawa teen among suspects arrested in Brooklin robbery

Police have arrested two suspects in connection with a street level robbery in Brooklin earlier this year, including a 16-year-old from Oshawa.

On Friday, February 24, 2017, at approximately 10:00 p.m., a vehicle with the three suspects approached the 16-year-old victim while he was walking on Watford Street. The suspects were armed with a knife and demanded that he victim get inside the vehicle. Once the victim was inside, he was threatened and robbed of his personal items, including his cellphone. The victim was dropped off at Brooklin High School.

The victim didn’t receive any physical injuries.

A 19-year-old male of Rossland Road East in Whitby is charged with robbery and forcible confinement. He was held for a bail hearing.

A 16-year-old from Oshawa was also arrested and charged with robbery, forcible confinement and uttering threats. He was held for a bail hearing.

 Investigators continue to look for a third suspect described as: male, black, average build and in his teens.
