Oshawa Minor Generals AA Peewee wins tournament

It was an amazing weekend of hockey filled with incredible teamwork, sportsmanship and tough competition.

The tournament started Friday with two wins over the Mississauga Jets and Stouffville Clippers, Saturday a tie with the Duffield Devils and a loss to the Aurora Tigers. Advancing to the semi’s on Sunday morning, Oshawa beat the Richmond Hill Stars 3-2 to advance to the finals against the Leaside Flames.

The final game was very competitive with both teams putting everything they had into it, Oshawa pulled off the victory with a 3-2 win.

The coaching staff is proud of their team, who welcomed eight new players this year. They played all six games confidently and with much tenacity, and played together as a team.
