Oshawa man charged with attempted murder in Wollaston Township
An Oshawa man is facing several charges after a woman was shot at by her boyfriend in Wollaston Township, a small community approximately 70 kilometres northeast of Peterborough.
On the evening of Feb. 16, officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were called to a Wollaston residence after a female said her partner had shot at her earlier in the day.
A male was later arrested at that location.
A 35-year-old Oshawa male has been charged with one count each of attempted murder using a firearm, assault, discharging a firearm with intent and unauthorized possession of a firearm, as well as two counts each of assault with a weapon, careless use of a firearm, criminal harassment, forcible confinement, pointing a firearm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
