Oshawa libraries welcoming customers back
All branches of Oshawa Public Libraries are allowing customers back into the library with select services.
Customers will be able to browse the library’s collections and use public computer and printing services. The library will be open for studying and reading following physical distancing recommendations from the Durham Region Health Department.
As a courtesy to others wishing to use the library, customers are asked that visits are kept to one hour or less. To reduce the handling of library materials, it is recommended asking staff for assistance.
The library will be open to the public Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Physical distancing, proper hand hygiene, and wearing a non-medical face mask or face covering is required while in the library. For shared health and safety, the library has increased the cleaning of high touch items and surfaces. Anyone experiencing COVID-19 systems must postpone their library visit and call Telehealth or their health care provider to be assessed.
Library take-out services will continue, and items may be returned to the library’s external book chutes. All returns will be quarantined for 72 hours.
