Online sale goes bad
An Oshawa man was robbed at knifepoint when meeting people he thought were buying the video game system he had for sale online.
At approximately 7 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 25, a 27-year-old male was contacted by another male who wished to purchase the Xbox game system he had for sale on Kijiji. The two agreed to meet in the area of Robert Street and Mary Street North to complete the purchase.
However, when the seller arrived, he was approached by two male suspects, one of whom held a knife to the victim while the other stole the game system and the victim’s cell phone.
The victim was not physically harmed during the robbery.
The first suspect is described as a white male, approximately 25 years old and five feet and 10 inches tall with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a dark, baggy winter jacket and snow pants.
The second suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion, approximately 25 years old and five feet and eight inches tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing grey clothing.
Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to call Det. Sitaram at 1-888-579-1520, ext. 2741.
