Passed away peacefully at ThorntonView in Oshawa on Sunday November 14, 2016 in her 94th year.  A 20 year employee of Sears Canada, and past executive member of Bathe Park Community Centre.

Beloved wife of Teodor (“Alex”, “Fred”, “Ted”).  Cherished mother of the late Robert Owen (Marlene), Gail Madden (late Hugh), Ted Olenycz (Margo), Kathy Landry (David), Arlene Reed (Jim), Janice Holt (late John).  Loved Nanny to Steven (Christine) Wilkinson, Melissa Madden, Taylor Olenycz, Joshua and Erika Landry, Alex, Mathew, and the late Erin Reed, Laurie (Julian) Stein, Mark (Tammy) Owen, Michael (Ottilia) Owen.  Great Grandma to Riley and Reese Wilkinson, Kate and Mia Owen and Nathan Stein.  Beloved sister to Robert Oattes (late Phyllis), the late Thomas “Bud” Oattes (late Marge), and the late Melville Oattes.  Relatives and friends may call at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King Street East, Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m.  Interment Thornton Cemetery.  Donations made in memory of Helen to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, Bereaved Families of Durham, Alzheimer Society of Durham Region or Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated by her family.  Online condolences may be shared at makfuneralhome.com.
