Motorcyclist struck in Oshawa

One person was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre after being involved in a motorcycle collision.

On Thursday, April 30, at approximately 6:30 p.m., police were called to a collision at the intersection of Winchester Road and Harmony Street in Oshawa involving a BMW motorcycle and a four-door sedan.

Police say it appears the vehicle was eastbound on Winchester Road when it struck the motorcycle that was travelling northbound.

The male operator of the motorcycle sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital and later air-lifted to a Toronto-area hospital.

The 28-year-old Oshawa driver of the car was not injured. He has been charged with careless driving.
