Motorcyclist seriously injured in collision
A 35-year-old Oshawa man was seriously injured following a collision on his motorcycle in Oshawa Saturday.
On July 29, just before 8 p.m., a Toyota Corolla was travelling northbound on Simcoe Street through John Street alongside a motorcyclist. The Toyota attempted to make a left turn across two lanes of traffic, striking the motorcycle.
The rider was thrown from the bike and sustained serious injuries. He was taken to a Toronto trauma centre where he remains in serious but non-life threatening condition. The driver of the Toyota wasn’t hurt.
A 41-year-old Whitby woman is charged with careless driving.
