Mistake costs UOIT in tune up game

Despite a strong effort, the UOIT men’s soccer squad fell to the Guelph Gryphons on Aug. 20

With that defeat, UOIT finishes the preseason with a pair of one-goal losses but will look to regroup for the season opener against the Carleton Ravens on Sunday, Aug. 28 in Ottawa.

Nicholas Miller started in goal for UOIT and will be the front-runner to be the opening day starter next Sunday.

This marks the first year that Peyvand Mossavat is head coach of the men’s program, taking over for Vaso Vujanovic, who retired after 30 years of coaching including seven seasons with the Ridgebacks.
