Peacefully at home, with wife Maureen (née Stokes) at his side, on Friday, August 25th, 2017. Roger, in his 73rd year. Fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law Janice Gerritsen (Ben) and Linda Church (Jim); nieces Kim Gerritsen and Nicole McCartney (Matt); nephews Ian Gerritsen (Natalie) and Andrew Church (Ashley); cousin Carolea Butters (Hugh); second cousins Jennifer Elder (Dan) and Christopher Butters; his 4-legged friend Merlin. As per Roger’s wishes, there will not be a service. Donations in memory of Roger to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OSPCA) would be appreciated.
