Man seriously injured in vicious attack

Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a suspect involved in a vicious assault.

At approximately 9:40 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20 outside a rooming house on Simcoe Street South, just south of Olive Street, witnesses reported a suspect pushed a 62-year-old man to the ground and began kicking him about the head and chest.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries and is continuing to recover.

The suspect is described as male, between six and six feet and four inches tall, approximately 160 pounds with a slender build and short black hair. He had visible tattoos on his body.
