Man robs same drug store twice
An Oshawa man is facing several charges after robbing the same drug store twice in a little more than a month.
Shortly before 3 p.m. on Dec 31, a masked male entered the Guardian Drugs on King Street West, demanding opiates and cash from the employee. Police say no weapon was seen.
As part of the investigation, the suspect was connected to a similar robbery that took place at the same drug store on Nov. 25, where a male demanded hydromorphone. Police executed a search warrant at a south-end home later that day.
A 31-year-old male of Ravine Road in Oshawa has been charged with two counts each of robbery and disguise with intent, as well as one charge each of possession of a dangerous weapon and failure to comply with an undertaking.
