Man allegedly pistol whipped during drug deal

An alleged drug deal gone wrong led to a local man being pistol whipped and assaulted.

On Dec. 3, officers were called to a residence on Albert Street in Oshawa for reports of a possible shooting.

A neighbour told police they had heard what they believed was a gunshot.

According to police, three men attended the victim’s home for a drug deal, and an altercation took place, and the man was assaulted.

The three alleged assailants fled on foot, with two quickly being arrested. The third suspect was later arrested at a nearby school.

Police recovered a quantity of drugs and also a loaded firearm.

Three men, all of Birchcliffe Avenue in Oshawa, face a wide variety of drug and gun-related charges.

An 18-year-old was also charged with assault with a weapon.

All three were held for a bail hearing.
