Late goal secures Ridgebacks first win of the year

The UOIT women’s hockey team picked up their first win of the season with a 2-1 road victory over the Laurier Golden Hawks on Oct. 23.

Beating Laurier has been a rare feat for the program, having only earned one win in their previous 25 attempts. However, on Sunday night, the Ridgebacks played with a chip on their shoulder as they outshot the Golden Hawks 32-11 en route to their first win.
