Eric Wellwood started his OHL career with the Windsor Spitfires in 2006-07. Eric won the Memorial Cup with the Spitfires in both 2009 and 2010. In his final year with Wind­sor, Eric scored 68 points (31 goals, 37 assists) in 65 games.

After his OHL career Eric went on to playing the American Hockey League and the Na­tional Hockey League with the Adirondack Phantoms and Philadelphia Flyers respective­ly. In 31 games in the NHL Eric accumulated 5 goals, 5 assists and 10 points.

The Windsor native has been involved in high-level hockey for eight years gathering a lot of experience in the process. A career ending injury in the AHL playoffs pushed Eric into coaching. Last year, Eric helped the Oshawa Generals win the Memorial Cup.
