Gens partnering with United Way Durham

The Oshawa Generals are partnering up with United Way of Durham Region to assist with COVID-19 relief efforts.

The Gens have been teaming up with the United Way through a variety of programs for many seasons and will be partnering with them again on their COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund

The priorities of the United Way of Durham Region COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund will be to support those who will: save lives, improve health outcomes and help to diminish the duration of the impact in Durham and return the community to more prosperous times.

The United Way of Durham Region COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund has five priorities: basic needs, help for seniors, capacity for community services, mental health support, and support for volunteers.

Those who wish to be part of the solution can donate at support.unitedwaydr.com/COVID-19

The team has also partnered with Bardown Hockey to provide special charity merchandise to help raise funds to aid in the relief of the COVID-19 pandemic. Proceeds of all sales will go towards United Way of Durham Region COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund.

Sale of the merchandise will be available from May 4 to May 19 at 11:59 p.m. T-shirts and sweatshirts will be available in both designs.

All purchasing can be done on the Bardown website www.oshawageneralsfightscovid19.shopbardown.com/
