Gens make additions to coaching staff
The Oshawa Generals added Greg Nemisz to its coaching roster as an assistant coach alongside head coach Bob Jones and fellow assistant Eric Wellwood.
Nemisz is familiar with both of his coaching counterparts, having played four seasons with the Windsor Spitfires, three of those with Jones, who was an assistant coach with the club at the time. Wellwood was also a member of the club at the time, which won back-to-back Memorial Cups in 2009 and 2010.
Nemisz was drafted 25th overall by the Calgary Flames in 2008. From 2010 to 2013, he played with the Flames’ AHL affiliate in Abbotsford before being traded to the Caroline Hurricanes, where he played with the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL.
The Courtice native is familiar with the Generals organization and assisted the club during their 2015 playoffs and run to the Memorial Cup.
