Gens end preseason with a loss

After starting off with three straight victories, the Oshawa Generals fell short in their final two games of the preseason.

Facing off against the Niagara IceDogs for the second time this preseason on Sept. 18, the Gens were unable to muster any offence, losing 4-0.

Oshawa were shutout on six powerplay attempts in the match.

The following day, Oshawa tried to rebound against the Hamilton Bulldogs, but once again came up short, losing the game 5-1 at the Ajax Community Centre.

Approximately 500 Gens fans were in attendance for the final preseason game.

The Gens open their season on Friday, Sept. 25 in Guelph and will return to Oshawa for their home opener on Sept. 27 against the North Bay Battalion.
