Gas explosion

Gas explosion at 179 King Street East while drilling for natural gas. The boiler was blown on the property of T.H. Everson at 171 King Street East. The photograph is dated circa 1918 and was donated to the Oshawa Community Museum in 1985 by Thomas Bouckley. A985.41.43.
