Female accosted on Beatrice Street path

Police are looking for a suspect after a woman was inappropriately touched by a male in a park in north Oshawa.

At approximately 11:40 a.m. on July 3, the 23-year-old victim was walking on a forest path on the north side of Beatrice Street East between Ritson Road North and Mary Street North, when an unknown male approached her from behind and grabbed her inappropriately.

According to police, the woman ran to a nearby business and police were contacted immediately. It is not known which direction the male fled.

The victim was not physically harmed during this incident, but not able to get a description of the male as he had approached her from behind and she was fearful to turn around.
