Durham teachers hit the picket lines

Elementary teachers across Durham Region, including those at David Bouchard Public School, hit the picket lines on Thursday. The ETFO and provincial government have agreed to resume negotiations for the first time in more than a month. However, union leaders says if a deal isn’t reached by Friday, all elementary teachers in Ontario will stage a one-day walkout on Feb. 6.
