Donate your household items
The regional works department is again calling on residents to drop off their reusable household items for free for its latest edition of Reuse Days.
Residents are able to drop off any good quality items such as clothing, textiles, furniture, appliances, cabinets, countertops and most other reusable renovation materials. You can also donate your reusable household items and building materials.
Garbage, household hazardous waste and electronics will not be accepted.
The items will be donated to Habitat for Humanity ReStores in Oshawa, Ajax and Uxbridge, the Canadian Diabetes Association and the Salvation Army.
Donations can be made between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 14 at the Durham Region Waste Management Centre at 4600 Garrard Rd. in Whitby.
