Dollarama thief leaves empty-handed

A lone male was left running empty handed after he attempted to rob a Dollarama store in south Oshawa.

On Nov. 17, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers were called to the Dollarama store on Wentworth Street West after a male suspect entered the store and demanded cash from a cashier. The suspect, who was holding a cloth over his face to conceal his identity, ran off when the cashier yelled.

No weapon was seen or mentioned and nobody in the store was physically injured.

The suspect is described as black, in his early 20s, approximately six feet and three inches tall with a slim build and wearing a dark jacket and yellow ball cap.
