Cyclist assaulted
Durham police are looking to identify two males they say assaulted a cyclist attempting to help a woman in distress.
At approximately 3:45 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, the male cyclist was riding north on Stevenson Road North near Annapolis Avenue when he saw a woman with two males, and she appeared to be in distress and trying to get away.
Police say when the cyclist approached the group and attempted to help the female, the two males attacked him.
The victim, a 41-year-old male who has a developmental disability, was later treated for minor head injuries.
Police describe the two suspects as white, approximately six feet tall with medium build and both wearing baseball caps.
The female witness is described as white with a skinny build and shoulder-length brown hair.
