Cocaine, guns seized by officers
An investigation into cocaine trafficking in Oshawa has resulted in six arrests and the seizure of more than $70,000 in cocaine and six guns.
Over the past two months, members of the Drug Enforcement Unit, with assistance of the Gun and Gang Enforcement Unit, concluded an investigation called Project Porch.
The investigation resulted in the execution of five search warrants, six arrests, 27 criminal charges, and the seizure of $77,200 in cocaine, a cocaine-cutting agent, four handguns, two long guns and ammunition.
A 26-year-old man and 35-year-old woman of Windsor Street and 22-year-old woman of Celina Street in Oshawa are each charged with possession of a loaded firearm, additional firearm offences, and charges related to trafficking and possession of drugs.
A 27-year-old man of Devon Avenue in Oshawa is charged with trafficking a restricted firearm and transferring a restricted weapon without authorization.
A 26-year-old male of Cricklewood Drive in Oshawa and 28-year-old male of Wilson Road South in Oshawa are both charged with possession of a schedule 1 substance.
