Oshawa’s Bob Chapman has been re-elected as the chair of the Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority (CLOCA).
This is Chapman’s second year as chair, and he has expressed a positive attitude heading in.
“2020 will be an exciting year for [CLOCA]. We have a dedicated team of elected officials representing our watershed municipalities who bring with them experience and a working knowledge of [CLOCA],” said Chapman in a press release.
Clarington councillor Ron Hooper was also elected vice-chair for the second year in a row.
Other representatives from Oshawa include Ward 1 city and regional councillor John Neal, Ward 2 city and regional councillor Tito-Dante Marimpietri, and Ward 5 city and regional councillor Brian Nicholson.
Clarington will see three total representatives, while Whitby has four, and Ajax, Scugog, Pickering, and Uxbridge all have one.
