Carea Health appoints new CEO

Carea Community Health Centre has welcomed a new CEO.

Ijade Maxwell Rodrigues, the chair of Carea’s board of governors, announced Francis Garwe has taken on the top position with the agency.

“Francis Garwe is a proven leader and will chart a successful course for Carea Community Health Centre as we navigate the modernization of Ontario’s healthcare system,” Maxwell Rodrigues said in a news release. “A well-respected administrator, Francis will continue to expand our partnerships in Durham Region and seize the opportunities ahead to ensure that we are providing access to high quality, holistic and integrated care that is responsive to the needs of the community.”

“I am honoured by this opportunity to lead Carea Community Health Centre. As a resident of Durham Region, I am passionate about serving my community and realizing Carea’s vision to become a recognized leader in the provision of an integrated model of community-based health and wellness services,” Garwe stated in the media release.
