Beat summer boredom with summer reads

Beat the heat this summer with Canada’s biggest summer reading club for kids.

The TD Summer Reading Club has launched and is available online on the Oshawa Public Libraries website.

The reading club is available for kids ages 12 and under. Participants will learn about the world, themselves and each other through activities and play. It is geared to readers of all abilities, can be done from just about anywhere, and gives children a feeling of accomplishment by tracking their reading progress throughout the summer.

Kids can track and report their reading minutes using their summer reading club account as often as they want until Aug. 31, and will also earn online “reward badges” for participating in virtual library programs, sharing what they’re reading and more.

Those without consistent internet access to register or report their minutes can contact the library at 905-579-6111 ext. 5249 for assistance.
